Yep, I told myself that I would nap this afternoon so I could be well-rested and ready to work until 2am. I don't know the last time I was up late, but because I'll be working and keeping active, I think I'll be okay. Tim Hortons and Coca Cola will take care of me, I'm sure :)
Despite the fact that Team USA lost, I still like at least five players on the team. Those players are Knuble, Schneider, Chelios, Modano, and Conroy. Rolston may or may not be added at a later time. Now that they are most likely out of the medals, it doesn't matter. Congratulations hot shot NHLers with big egos on repeating the Nagano games. I'm glad you think so highly of yourselves, gentlemen, because I think that is all you had going for you. Also high praise to NBC, who finally figured out how to put a hockey game on coast-to-coast, but with a game whose result was subpar. Btw, games still rock with no sound.
I am getting spoiled by my Saturday adventures. The people mover is an awesome mode of transportation and a wonderful way to waste time. Strange seeing storefronts on Woodward Avenue, almost makes downtown look like a real city. Seeing old timers play hockey was a treat, so was the company for the evening.
The Bauermobile had a slight mishap, but all is well again. When I started it yesterday, it was singing its own song, and when I realized that it wasn't going to stop, I turned around and swapped cars with my dad. I asked him to run it for a bit to see if the noise would stop after it warmed up, when it didn't, he took it to Kevin's. After a few minutes, I had a new blower motor and tightened radiator hose clamps. It might also be a pity that the original motor didn't last more than 15 years, but hey, Chevy did their best, right? ;)
My afternoon of doing nothing is fastly coming to a close and sadly the time has come that I have to get ready for work. Included in this means making cookies (the six of us working tonight are each bringing something) and packing a lunch (because those goodies will just be snack foods). Oh well, all in a day's work I suppose.
