I'm going to Disney World

First, I am very happy Pittsburg won the Superbowl. My former Eagle Charlie Batch got some bling, bling and he got it playing the Big Game in Detroit. Sweet! Jerome Bettis retired at home after winning it all. It doesn't get sweeter. Because the Carolina game a few weeks ago went over and cut into the premiere of 24, Carolina lost to Seattle and in turn, Seattle lost. I am relieved that I am not the only one that feels the wrath of Jack Bauer.

Second, I am disappointed in the Detroit media. There are other ways they could creatively worded headlines that remained catchy without completely turning their back on the real city. I am glad that nothing of mass destruction happened while the spotlight was examining every centimeter of the city's movement. I am rather proud that the outsiders are so happy with Detroit and their stay here, though we always act like that. Mitch Album said it best. Read his article for more on this thought, particularly towards the bottom of the article.

Third, I had fun last night. It was just me and the guys, just like old times. I was the last to get there and second to leave because I was blocking everyone in the driveway. :P It is no surprise that we had more fun watching commercials than the game, except for the awesome passes here and there, that we correctly guessed what a "code black" is, and that the Rolling Stones' performance during halftime was 15 minutes of smart ass comments and laughter, because there was nothing else good to say about it.

Now I am off to watch the first quarter of the game...errrr...commercials that I missed, because I hear they are delightful.
